On this episode of Breakthrough Barriers with Damali we had theater, film and television actress Geneva Carr. Geneva has traveled the world and has had an amazing transition from a straining job to being successful in an industry she is passionate about, which is why our first caller’s question was perfect for her. The caller wanted to know how to find a medium and balance work and passion.
Geneva reminded us that we all have to work to make a living, but passion is what sustains most of us. Following our passions and doing things that make us happy is essential for our quality of life. It may take financial sacrifices but with extra help from your support team, it is possible.
Find a job that makes you want to go to work. Adapt to the mentality that you don’t have to go to work, you get to go.
Even if your passion is not something that is profitable, still designate time for it. There is nothing wrong with doing something for money in order to feed your passion, it may eventually pay off.
If you can’t make your passion your income, make it your side hustle and always embrace your passion.
